We are Josep Tomàs and Eva. We made this family project possible so everyone who stays at Cal Cot feels comfortable and welcome; we greet guests personally and share practical information and local recommendations tailored to each stay.
Casa Cal Cot is an independent house in the old centre of Hospitalet de l'Infant, on the Costa Daurada (Tarragona), at Carrer Major 13 and a five-minute walk from the beach. Built around 1860 and restored by the family between 2018 and 2021, it retains stone walls, wooden beams and floors; the old sealed well remains beneath the staircase. The house has about 100 m² over three floors and still shows the openings that once connected the two family dwellings. The family who raised it came from l'Arbolí, inland, and the village always called the house «cal Cot».

Ten minutes away by car, the Cal Sec holm-oak grove is worked by the family. You'll head out with the dogs, watch them mark the ground, and dig up a truffle; then a small tasting closes the morning.

Hospitalet de l'Infant sits on the Costa Daurada: a quiet sea, long beaches, and a backcountry that climbs into the Serra de Llaberia and the Priorat. What's worth doing shifts with the calendar, so we've sorted it by season.
The cold months are ours. Ten minutes away by road, the Cal Sec estate fills with frosty mornings, dogs and black truffle.
When the vines green up, the inland is the best plan. The Priorat and Montsant wineries are under an hour away.
Summer is the sea. The beaches of Hospitalet de l'Infant are wide and calm, and the headland coves begin minutes away.
In autumn the nearby villages — Vandellòs, Mont-roig, Montbrió… — fill their markets with the season's produce: new oil, honey and nuts.
